Born in France, St. Louis de Montfort became a priest in 1700. He was an amazing preacher who traveled far and wide, inspiring others to follow the example of loving obedience set by Mary. If you think of St. Louis de Montfort, think of Mary! In addition to writing hymns and books (including True Devotion to the Blessed Virginand The Secret of the Rosary), Louis founded a small company of priests who led Marian missions and retreats. Louis also founded the Daughters of Wisdom who provided education and served the poor.
